Job Description
Overview
Responsible for management of various aspects of human resources supporting employees and management staff. Acts as a Senior People Ops Partner to include, On-boarding, employee relations, Performance Management, compensation and the merit cycle, employee engagement, Legal and compliance issues and to ensure company policies are communicated, understood and followed. This position demonstrates a high level of integrity, a strong depth of knowledge, and a pro-active approach to customer service. Responsibilities
  • Operates as an organizational leader and internal consultant to the management team on People Services related policies and practices.
  • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee-employer relationship issues.Analyzes trends as they relate to employee issues and recommends appropriate application or resolution.
  • Acts as an advisor to employees and managers regarding employee relations issues. Conducts root cause analyses of any issues and provides methods and suggestions on best way to resolve and move forward.
  • Coaches managers in managing employee performance issues to include verbal, written or final written warnings. Escalate all possible separations to the People Ops Manager or VP for review and approval.
  • Works closely with managers to understand business issues and opportunities and assist in developing People Services initiatives as a tactical response to address those opportunities.
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
  • Responds to unemployment filings and appeals.
  • Assists in development, implementation, as well as maintaining people services policies and procedures.
  • Provides consultation in partnership with compensation on issues such as job description, market pricing and internal equity issues.
  • Contributes as project leader or contributor on various department and business line initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5 to 7 years or more of People Services/ HR Generalist experience.
  • Experience in high growth healthcare company preferred.
  • PHR/SPHR preferred.
