As a Senior Manufacturing Manager, you will have the opportunity to showcase your production and leadership skills in a state-of-the-art facility manufacturing custom-quality furniture.

We are located in Southwest Dallas near I-20 and Mountain Creek Parkway.

What you will do each day

  • Executes the daily production schedule maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure products conform to established customer and company quality standards.
  • Achieve optimum productivity and employee efficiency levels with the least amount of overhead and raw material costs.
  • Direct and monitor Area Managers and department Supervisors to accomplish goals of the production schedule, consistent with established manufacturing and safety procedures.
  • Act as liaison between department management/subordinate levels, as well as to inform personnel of communications, decisions, policies and all matters that affect their performance and results.
  • Hire, train, develop and evaluate staff.
  • Take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Ensure compliance with current federal, state and local regulations.
  • Coordinate with HR to establish appropriate staffing levels, training processes, daily direct labor metrics, safety root cause analysis process, and employee events
  • Identify, recommend and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and scrap, monitor scrap and rework data. Direct the establishment, implementation and maintenance of production standards.
  • Implements various programs essential to manufacturing procedures (e.g., 5S, training, safety, housekeeping, cost reduction, worker involvement, security, etc.).
  • Manage monthly bonus process for production/direct labor employees and their respective leads, and assistant leads.
  • Implements major projects, (e.g., plant layout changes, installation of capital equipment, major repairs, etc.).
  • Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required.

We are looking for candidates that have

  • Experience working with manufacturing-based technology, processes, and principles including Oracle, SAP, or related technology
  • Confident, independent action, initiative, and a sense of urgency
  • Ability to react and quickly adjust to changing conditions at a faster-than-average pace
  • Knowledge of process improvement, manufacturing engineering, and related fields
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to interact collaboratively with others
  • Oracle experience is a plus
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Some 'must haves' include

  • BA/BS in industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering or a 4-year technical degree in a related discipline is highly preferred.
  • 7-10 years experience in manufacturing management, preferably in process-oriented operations and/or related industries.
  • 5 years of people management/leadership experience.
