Senior Manager, Materials

We are currently seeking a Senior Manager, Materials located in San Diego, CA.

Responsible for management of all activities related to manufacturing and raw material planning, ERP, Finished Goods replenishment at 3PL and business oversight of CMO. This hands-on position will manage and perform the day-to-day, manufacturing planning and inventory functions including related ERP transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Develops presentation for and participates in quarterly S&OP meetings with Commercial and Finance to align short / long range plans between Commercial Forecast and Manufacturing Plan
• Creates Manufacturing Plan to achieve key inventory targets, sales forecast and clinical demand requirements
• Responsible for business oversight of CMO and ensure compliance to Supply Agreement including management of Quarterly Business Review meetings
• Determines CMO demand plan and manages the transfer of raw materials and ERP transactions
• Develops Raw Material Budget in support of the Manufacturing Plan that achieves inventory level targets and addresses supply risks
• Performs weekly MRP updates to determine raw material purchase requirements and provide guidance to Procurement for order placement
• Develops and maintains effective business relationships with critical material suppliers
• Works cooperatively with R&D to direct material purchasing strategies for new product development projects
• Responsible for timely ESI transactions to ensure inventory accuracy of raw materials and finished goods including inventory reconciliation of SCC, CMO, 3PL supporting period end close
• Works closely with Manufacturing to determine appropriate stocking levels of raw materials supporting on-site manufacturing and CMO supply
• Develops, implements and maintains processes and procedures in compliance with cGMP and SOX requirements
• Develops and maintains expense budgets in accordance with Budget and LE schedules
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• BA degree in Business or related field preferred.
• At least 10+ years in the medical device or life science industry with experience in all functions related to materials management

• Demonstrated ability to manage across multiple sites, including CMOs
• Ability to communicate in an effective and concise manner
• Demonstrated ability to create process documentation for internal and external resources
• Ability to create complex planning models in Excel
• Advanced experience with ERP systems including transaction level experience for MRP, Configuration Management, and Inventory. Must be well versed in trouble shooting transactions related to inventory accuracy.
