Overview
Based in West Hartford, Connecticut, Triumph Systems, Electronics & Control is a leading independent aerospace fuel system supplier for the commercial, military, helicopter, and business jet markets. Employing approximately 500 employees, the company’s key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units and main fuel pumps for both the OE and aftermarket / spares end markets.
We are seeking an experienced, team-oriented individual to join our Maintenance Department as a Senior Maintenance Mechanic - Machine Repair. This is a 1st shift, bargaining unit position (UAW), with an excellent benefits package. Starting hourly rate is $35.88 with three increases over the first year to $41.08, plus time and a half for overtime. Working hours are 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
In this role, you will prepare for and perform operations connected with moving, installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide diversity of equipment and facility components. Includes electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, refrigeration, machine tool and all types of production equipment including test stands and machinery. Procedures are standardized to a small degree and operations range up to complex difficulty. Responsibilities
  • Work out details on assignments that involve welding, moving, installation, maintenance, repair, alteration and related operations on all building systems included HVAC, production machinery, test stands and Powerhouse equipment.
  • As needed, deliver lubricants, solvents, and chemicals, and lubricate machinery.
  • Run and operate the equipment in the Powerhouse, Pollution Control Room and heat treat furnaces, complete heat-treat cycles and safely shut down furnaces.
  • Perform all types of emergency repairs in the facility and with equipment as necessary to minimize production lost time or further damages.
  • Assist in securing the facility at the end of the shift or during inclement weather including floods or snow removal.
  • Operate high pressure stationery steam boilers and associated equipment, forced and induced draft, combustion controls and other Powerhouse equipment to include oil and gas burners.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all types of equipment including tow motors and other moving equipment. Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required.
  • 5 years of related industrial maintenance mechanic experience required.
  • Trade license in either electrical or plumbing preferred.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints, instructions, and drawings
  • Prove ability to work to code and meet specification requirements.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Successful completion of Criminal Background and Drug Screening required.
