The corporate communications team builds and reinforces Ekata’s brand narrative. We’re looking for a thoughtful internal communications expert to bring our story to life for employees at Ekata and Mastercard. As our Senior Internal Communications Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring our employees across the globe understand our company narrative (for both Ekata’s solutions and our overall story within Mastercard’s Identity Solutions business unit) and are empowered to do their best work. The Senior Internal Communications Manager will also keep employees informed about key updates related to our integration with Mastercard, including benefits, training, and diversity and inclusion efforts, while helping employees understand how their work maps back to a broader company mission. In this role, you will report to our Head of Corporate Communications and collaborate closely with Human Resources and the executive team at both Ekata and Mastercard. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who has worked in communications at a high-growth global company.
As our Senior Internal Communications Manager, you will:
- Liaise with the broader Mastercard communications teams to support cross-functional communications as part of our integration
- Collaborate with Mastercard’s Identity organization to share information with their regional and global teams
- Work closely with leaders of the Mastercard Identity org and Ekata’s executive team to develop communication strategies and tactics
- Draft and execute proactive internal communications campaigns that foster employee understanding of Ekata’s corporate narrative and empowers employees with the information they need to be successful in their roles
- Guide the leadership team and subject matter experts on crafting messages that resonate with and inspire employees
- Determine different employee audience profiles (e.g., line managers versus all employees; regional versus global) and tailor communications appropriately
- Coordinate All-Hands, Town Halls, and other internal events to inform and engage employees
- Work cross-functionally with HR and our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee to develop strategic internal communications
- Coordinate with regional offices and design streamlined communications that support employees across the globe
- Guide the leadership team and subject matter experts on crafting messages that resonate with and inspire employees
- Determine different employee audience profiles (e.g., line managers versus all employees; regional versus global) and tailor communications appropriately
- Own the company intranet and craft crisp communications for a variety of channels, including our intranet, Slack, email and more
- Run analytics to understand how employees use our internal communications channels and optimize channels for our different audiences
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills with a knack for building relationships across an organization. You’re a thoughtful communicator who delivers messages with impact and empathy.
- 7 or more years of experience in a strategic communications role, preferably in a high-growth, global and/or public company
- Experience working closely with and drafting content/presentations for executives
- Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications or related field
- The ability to manage multiple channels and projects simultaneously
- Cross-cultural awareness and competence
- Experience in change management
