Primary Responsibilities

HDR is seeking a highly-motivated senior hydrologist or hydrogeologist to support our growing practice in Boise, Idaho. Depending on the individual, responsibilities could include:

  • Analysis of geologic, hydrologic, and water quality data

  • Water supply planning and permitting

  • Well and pump system design

  • Groundwater or surface water modeling

  • Water quality investigations

  • Expert witness services

  • Report writing

  • Project management

  • Marketing

Qualifications


Qualifications

Experience with water rights, wastewater reuse, and irrigation is preferred. This person will be required to maintain client relationships, manage and mentor younger engineers/geologists, and function as a technical specialist and/or project manager.

Candidates will have 12 to 25+ years of consulting experience, with an M.S. or Ph.D. degree in geological engineering, civil engineering, hydrology, or hydrogeology, and the ability to obtain P.G. and/or P.E. registration in Idaho. Work experience and licensure in other western states such as California, Washington, Oregon, or Utah is a plus. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential. ArcGIS and MODFLOW experience is preferred. Work will be conducted from SPF’s Boise office on projects located in Idaho and surrounding states. International work opportunities may be available.
