Summary of Duties:The Senior Human Resource Generalist is to provide direct support to the Human Resources team in the day to day administration, communication, and implementation of human resource activities for the company. They will provide advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation. The Human Resources Generalist acts as a liaison between employees and internal and external customers. Senior Human Resources Generalist Job Responsibilities:Provides HR/administrative assistance to managers/supervisors in the areas of policy interpretation and application, HR guidance, & employee problem resolutionMaintains employee personnel, leave of absence, workers’ compensation & training files/records.Managed and supports all recruiting, onboarding and employee orientation document management, data and meetings.Supports cross-functional special projectsBe an administrator and owner of HRIS and benefit data managementMaintains organizational staffing reports including but not limited to org charts, employment data reports, compliance reports and employee relation reports.Acts as a resource for all employee inquiries in a timely manner with high levels of professionalism, attention to detail and customer service.Participate in the planning, strategy, research and execution of critical talent management needs, gaps, and development and compliance programs.Be knowledgeable in multi-state HR guidelines, laws, best business practices and compliance guidelines and how those relate to the business programs within the Company.Maintains a high level of details for HR metrics and data integrity for all reports within the payroll and HRIS systems.Have an advanced knowledge of report generation, HR metrics and data configuration.Willing to learn and execute the Company’s compensation philosophies, compensation modeling and offer recommendations to compensation strategies in a collaborative manner.Support HRBP in advanced employee coaching, development, documentation and performance management.Advanced knowledge of excel formulas and ADP HRIS, LMS and ATS systems.Create processes and policiesAct as a recruiter as neededMaintains I-9 files/records.Creates, maintains and regularly audits personnel files and HRIS database records ensuring accuracy, consistency and compliance.Assists and advises employees and managers on HR procedures and policies.Performs administrative duties in support of the maintenance of employee records, including personnel status updates, terminations, and new hires.Assists with return to work administration as needed.Ensure compliance with labor regulations.
Senior Human Resources Generalist Qualifications/Skills:5 + years’ of successful experience in human resourcesBA/BS degree requiredPHR or SPHR Certification preferred but not required.Willingness to learn American Sign Language and Deaf cultureUnderstanding of general human resources policies and proceduresKnowledge of federal and state employment laws; experience with multi-state law desired.Must have in-depth knowledge of all major categories of employment relationship, including employee relations, safety and work environment, training, recruitment, statistical analysis, workers compensation and benefits.Excellent communication and people skills
Work environment:Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time.Sitting, standing and walking (95-100%)Keyboarding (40-60%)Viewing computer monitor, videophone, and cell phone (40-60%)Lifting computers and other equipment.Position may require some travel.
