Job Description
The Senior HR Partner works with leaders across the business to ensure Adaptimmune is a great place to work for all employees. Our team achieves results by being driven, collaborative and trustworthy. This role is both hands-on and strategic and provides expertise in the areas of employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, compensation, employee retention, coaching/development, conflict management and ad hoc projects, as necessary. The role will work closely in a small team of HR Partners in the US and UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate as a credible partner to the business. Exert influence to create positive change and proactively mitigate and resolve employee issues.
- Partner effectively with Global HR Team including, Talent Acquisition.
- Proactively identify opportunities and assess improvements to the employee experience and partner with management to develop and implement innovative and lasting solutions.
- Coach and guide all levels of management to develop positive employee engagement capability and leadership skills.
- Build credibility and trust among employees. Resolve employee concerns through compassion, a systematic approach, clear documentation, and follow-through
- Consult and advise on succession planning, talent reviews and driving the annual performance planning cycle.
- In partnership with leaders and Talent Acquisition, develop workforce plans that ensure our success for the long term.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 5+ years’ minimum experience in a HR Business Partner role including coaching, employee relations, compensation and HR project management
- Experience working in a lean, small matrixed organization, life science experience required.
- Experience objectively coaching employees and management through complex, difficult and emotional issues.
- Demonstrated experience in organizational development, change management, learning and development, coaching and communications
- Thorough knowledge of the US employment law is required.
- Must have proven experience of working with all levels of management and to be comfortable with conflict and negotiation as well as interactions with senior management
Desirable
- Proven experience of working with all levels of management and to be comfortable with conflict and negotiation as well as interactions with senior management
- Experience in a global HR function
- Understands and can work in a COE/Specialist model while also ability to work without specialist support
