We currently have an opening in our Clarksburg MD office for a Senior Hardware Electrical Engineer. This position reports to the Electrical Design Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Work in a hands-on and team-oriented environment.
  • Responsible for designing, integrating, testing, and verifying embedded electronic hardware designs to satisfy the needs of customers and developments for new and existing radios and accessory products.
  • Implement designs utilizing Microprocessors, DSPs, Memory Systems, FPGAs, and High Efficiency Power Supplies.
  • Utilize hardware development and design software tools including PSpice, LTspice, Matlab/Simulink, Lab View, Hyperlynx, and Mentor/Altium.

  • US Citizenship required. Applicants selected may be subjected to a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Fluent in English
  • BSEE or MSEE
  • 4+ years designing embedded electronics hardware
  • Experience designing and testing to rigorous EMI/EMC and Environmental qualification requirements, including MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, FCC, and CE
  • Able to generate hardware requirements from system/configuration item requirements to define the scope of each hardware design and its verification method/plan
  • Able to critically assess technical risks and generate mitigation plans and activities on development projects
  • Working knowledge of software programing languages such as C, C#, and Python to support hardware development and debug
  • Able to work hands-on in an engineering lab to integrate, test, debug and optimize designs utilizing engineering test equipment and methods, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and programmable power supplies
  • Able to effectively work in a team environment and interact with employees in all departments and functions including Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering
  • Able to constructively collaborate with PCB layout to implement schematics into realizable PCBs based on mechanical and electrical requirements
  • Experience utilizing formal Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes and tools, such as PTC Windchill.
