Augustine Consulting Inc., (ACI) is a professional services provider of systems engineering and technical services to the United States Government. We are currently seeking a motivated self-starting individual eager to learn and develop within our company. This position has promising growth and opportunity within our finance department and ACI.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
The Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate with other finance members, assist and advise both internal and external clients including Business Group Directors, Program Managers, Corporate Staff, and special projects supporting corporate programs.
This person must exercise exceptional judgment and possess strong skills in problem-solving, communications, collaboration, and indirect leadership, and a demonstrated willingness to learn.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish business relationships with internal and external customers.
- Solve difficult finance and business challenges while meeting deadlines for multiple priorities and projects.
- Employ keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills to support sound decision making.
- Perform various technical requirements, initially to assist in market research, installation, and operation of an accounts payable system.
- Transition into other functions within the finance team, first doing then leading and managing.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
- 8+ years-experience with military, government or industry Accounting, Finance or Business
- Advanced experience using Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Teams)
- Proven ability working independently with tight deadlines
- Possess the ability to assess, interpret, and render judgements to finance and accounting standards and specifications.
- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Former military financial management experience (Army 36A, 36B, or other service similar background)
OTHER:
Normal demands associated with telecommuting and office work. Ability to independently work for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face-to-face.
Estimated travel requirements not to exceed 20%.
