ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Position Summary
Compiles and analyzes financial information for our organization. Develops integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations. Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately. Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to management. Performs financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts.
Essential to this PositionPosition Overview:
This position is responsible for business partnering with assigned plants’ operations and Leadership team in Santa Fe Springs, costing of assigned plants, performing plant financial analysis, analyzing plant financial statements, and leading budgeting & forecasting.
Primary Responsibilities:

Business Partnering

• Key partner to plant operations and Leadership team, providing support and analysis that assist in decision making and help shape the strategy and direction of the plant
• Lead with data and work closely with plant operations and Leadership team
• Analysis of costs and identification of key drivers and improvement opportunities
• Create tools, financial models, and analysis that measure facility performance to assist management in understanding results
• Identify favorable and unfavorable cost trends and present improvement ideas
• Take on special projects and requests as determined by the Regional Finance Leadership
• Power user of financial systems and tools
• Champion to improve finance/accounting processes and drive continuous process improvement

Inventory/Costing

• Provide production analysis and keep management aware of all activities that are not in compliance with Menasha Standards
• Develop and monitor overhead, labor, and raw material cost standards
• Reconcile the actual to budget differences in the Cost of Sales area of the financial statements on a period basis
• Reviewing/monitoring inventory levels, offsite warehouse activity, aged/aging inventory, and valuation of inventory

General Ledger/Financial Statements/Period Close

• Verify accuracy of plant financial statements by performing analytical procedures
• Ensure accuracy of data and compliance with corporate policies & GAAP
• Participate in month-end close so that final period financial statements are complete by required due date
• Prepare & deliver monthly results at assigned plant-level leadership staff meetings and employee update meetings

Budgeting / Forecasting

• Lead the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes by preparing schedules and analysis
• Collaborate with plant operations and plant management in short term and long term budgeting and planning
• Provide managers with forecasts, planning and control information
• Recommend revisions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analysis.
• Monitors actual results compared to budgeted and forecasted results, analyze variances, working with the plant management team to take advantage of opportunities and, if necessary, take corrective action
• Assist in preparation & review of capital expenditure requests

At least 4 years relevant experience required.

• SAP system and Hyperion experience a plus
• Self-motivated and self-starter continuously looking for process improvements
• Passion for understanding the business and how to improve it
• Strong collaboration skills with ability to lead
• Adaptable and open to change in response to business changes and process and system enhancements
