Silgan Dispensing Systems is searching for a Senior Financial Analyst to support our North American Distribution Center and coordinate sourcing and supply chain support for our Global businesses. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team. We are looking for a proactive person who will play a key role in delivering superior business partnership and sourcing/supply chain support to our organization. The position will be based at our regional headquarters in Grandview, MO.
How You Will Impact Silgan Dispensing Systems:
- Responsible for finance and accounting functions for the North American Distribution Center
- Perform monthly close tasks relating to inventory transactions, freight accruals, material rebates, and other cost allocations across three business value streams within the North American Distribution Center
- Review and effectively communicate value stream performance within the business
- Prepare monthly financial reports and explain results in detail to division management
- Act as primary Finance partner to the Global Director of Sourcing and Supply Chain
- Analyze and identify payment term opportunities across vendor portfolio
- Perform ad hoc analytics and financial modeling to support pricing and negotiation activities
- Conduct “Make vs. Buy” analyses to maximize manufacturing footprint and product profitability
- Execute blank-page projects: Develop reports/analyses/processes without existing templates
Job Requirements:
What You Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA a plus
- 5-7 years of experience working with financial data in a dynamic environment
- Possess a solid understanding of standard costing systems and inventory valuation
- Advanced proficiency and experience with Microsoft Excel and related financial systems; experience with JD Edwards, Planful Analytics or Business Intelligence software a plus
- Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and interpersonal
- Able to communicate complex topics in an effective and concise manner
- Process-driven; proven analytic and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to see the “big picture” while maintaining a strong attention to detail
