Come help us build the world's most reliable on-demand, logistics engine for delivery! We're bringing on experienced engineers to help us create and maintain a 24x7, no downtime, global infrastructure system that powers DoorDash’s three-sided marketplace of consumers, merchants, and dashers.
At DoorDash, our software engineers work on everything from backend systems to beautiful and thoughtful user interfaces, to scaling products that will automate human processes and make deliveries happen as fast as possible. About the Team
The growth team is responsible for the products that helps us acquire millions of new DoorDash customers every quarter and drive millions of incremental orders every month. The team owns massively impactful product areas, like the new user experience, SEO, virality & referrals, our marketing platform that allocates and optimizes a 9-figure marketing budget, and our engagement platform that gets users to order more across each stage in the life cycle. This role will help lead, strategize and develop growth related programs. You would work on seamless and personalized onboarding experiences, manage the execution of engagement programs, drive marketing strategies and structure CRM activities with a view of maximizing business impact. About the Role
Your responsibilities include: Leading high-impact tech and product initiatives that shape our communication, identity and engagement platforms and experiences. Inspiring your team and others with technical vision and customer obsession. Translate business goals into delivery requirements, through user feedback and personally identified areas partnering closely with product and marketing teams. Recruiting and retaining talented software engineers. Keeping the team connected to the needs of engineering. Rolling up your sleeves with hands on contributions when necessary. Maintaining a positive and supportive work culture. Coaching, mentoring and providing career guidance. Own comprehensive daily, weekly and monthly reporting of all engagement KPIs. You have experience defining the role and scope of all things communications in a rapidly growing company. You have a product mindset and a “growth mindset” and apply that to how you would build rich communications driving new customers. You should be able to track metrics and trends and identify new opportunities that proactively addresses customer needs and also reaches prospective customers. You love systems and software and are competent in both. You’re curious and dive deep into different system architectures. You are a leader, coach and enjoy creating opportunities for others.
