Job Description

The Senior Director of Revenue Cycle Operations will report to the Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for leading and managing successful front-end revenue cycle activities at IvyRehab Network. He/she will lead the strategic planning, analysis, continuous quality and productivity improvements of the geographically dispersed Front Office teams which includes Regional Patient Coordinators, Patient Coordinators and Patient Representatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in front-end RCM/Patient Access functions, preferably in an ambulatory or outpatient setting. The candidate must be an inspiring manager, able to attract, motivate and retain an industry leading team. S/He must be comfortable working in a fast-moving and evolving environment. Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a high performing team that is focused on the front end of the revenue cycle process, including but not limited to: scheduling, patient intake/registration, insurance verification, authorizations, and upfront patient collections
  • Drive front-end process changes that lead to more successful revenue cycle outcomes and an improved patient experience
  • Regularly review metric dashboards and ensure performance targets are met for core front-end KPI metrics, including but not limited to: pre-visit insurance verification rate, co-pay collections rate, and co-insurance collections rate
  • Engage with billing office partners to identify and remediate root cause process issues driving denials and other cash receipt delays
  • Identify and implement consistent front desk policies and procedures across sites and regions
  • Determine appropriate internal staffing levels; recruit, hire, and onboard new staff
  • Monitor staff and supervisor productivity to ensure timely and accurate work completion
  • Support staff and supervisor quality audits and approve employee performance evaluations
  • Actively maintain up-to-date best practice healthcare and revenue cycle/billing knowledge including knowledge specific to physical therapy billing and Ivy Rehab contracts
  • Actively maintain up-to-date knowledge of EMR workflows and system configurations

  • Experience working with a variety of EMR systems, Raintree experience a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree and relevant professional experience, ideally in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting.
