We are seeking startup / agile minded Senior Full Stack Engineers / Architects who are passionate about changing the world positively via technology. The roles will work with our web/platform/mobile applications including existing technologies and innovations still-to-be-created.

This is both a “ground up” and “reboot” position, so a unique combination of early stage startup and mature but evolving business. The candidate needs to be entrepreneurial, a self-starter, great at working with others and leading by example with best practices in digital full-stack development engineering.

Responsibilities: You are an Engineer who?

• Wants to dig in and contribute to all parts of the application - front-end, services, data, devops, and native mobile.
• Understands the trends in platform, application and mobile development and knows when to apply learnings
• Has solid experience striving for excellence with writing code for multiple projects; Unit and End-to-End testing, preparing application for live environment and providing devops support
• Record of Excellence in determining time estimates to complete tasks, documenting technical specifications and be part of the planning process and delivering code according to specifications, with quality and on-time
• Proven track record coordinating with designers, administrators, project managers and other programmers, prioritizing tasks and executing daily activities
• Accountable in daily stand-up meetings to review current progress and obstacles; a driving force in holding yourself and your peers accountable for delivery and quality excellence

Required Experience

• 7 + years of development engineering experience
• 3 + years in a professional senior technical role and / or architect
• 5 + years Agile / Scrum / Extreme development experience
• Is not a leadership role – Technical Guru to solve and development the across the full stack

• Agile / SCRUM certifications desirable
• Insurance Platforms / Applications experience desirable
• Startup oriented / minded

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Microsoft: ASP.NET/VB.NET/C#/Web APIs
• Frameworks: .NET, AngularJS, Jquery, React
• Web: HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, NodeJS, BootStrap, Java, Go, Python and Ruby
• Databases: SQL Server, MySQL, Stored Procedure Development, Performance Tuning
• ORM: Entity Framework / NHibernate
• Other: Mobile Development, SOA, Enterprise Service Bus, Application scalability
• Docker / Containers / Kubernetes experience desired
• .NET, IOS and Android Framework development techniques
• Experience in building and consuming RESTful service implementation and Service Oriented Architecture
• Extensive experience in design and implementation of SaaS and Mobile based software applications and multi-tier distributed platforms. Hands-on Experience working in a multi-tenant cloud environment
• Hands-on experience in Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Unified Modeling Language (UML), stateless distributed architectures, and designing for scalability and performance.
• Extensive knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies such as TOGAF or the equivalent; designing architecture plans / patterns, employing solid principals and
• Strong Agile software development leadership; continuous integration or even more advanced continuous delivery concepts including test automation strategies not only on functional level but also on the typical “-ability” requirements like usability, stability, scalability and performance
• Deep understanding of enterprise / cloud platform and mobile application designs
• Excellent people and verbal and written communication skills with an ability to communicate with internal/external partners at all levels
• A great problem solver with ability to multitask and prioritize multiple incoming requests
