Senior Database Engineer

Who are we looking for?

The Sr. Database Engineer will take the lead on developing and implementing solutions for XIFIN’s database systems. This position focuses on database development as he or she works with architects, developers, and business analysts to design robust, scalable solutions. This position requires a highly adept thinker with strong architectural, technical, design and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Working with stakeholders to design backend systems capable of supporting their evolving business needs
• Coordinate with software engineers to create software that fulfills business requirements and considers scalability in the process
• Translating business requirements into functional and technical design specifications
• Investigating complex issues and relentlessly delve deep into system functionality to solve problems
• Easily switch between projects at a time and keep deliverables on time

What qualifications are needed?

• B.S. in a technical discipline, certification, or other formal training
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience with MS SQL Server, from versions ranging from 2012-current
• Experience using SQL in a high-volume environment
• Background in healthcare preferred
• Must have strong architectural, technical, design and analytical skills
• Equivalent combination of education(including certification or other formal training) and experience will be considered

What experience is desirable?

• Knowledge of the medical industry
• Knowledge laboratory information systems
• Ability to analyze and to tune extremely complex database queries
• Experiencing tuning performance of SQL queries
• Experience with SSRS and developing RDL templates is a plus
