Job Description
A Senior Copywriter combines exceptional conceptual skills with a well-honed understanding of effective communication. Works with art director and other team members to conceive and execute persuasive concepts consistent with brand strategy, client guidelines, and industry regulations for a diverse set of media including, but not limited to, print, collateral, video, social media, and digital execution.

Essential duties include but are not limited to:
Develop outlines and write content appropriate for target audiences, as needed
Creates manuscripts for new jobs, including sell sheets, leave-behinds, slide decks, advisory board materials, and other promotional or training resources
Participate in brainstorming sessions that produce innovative, original ideas
Review literature to provide appropriate support for all written content
Demonstrate working knowledge of AMA style and editorial production process
Search, organize, and prepare references and referencing materials for projects
Annotate manuscript and provide appropriate references for editorial team
Provide ownership of all projects through routing process
Work collaboratively with all internal team members (medical, editorial, creative, and account)
Develop strong working knowledge of brand guidelines, therapeutic areas, product data, and managed markets concepts
Interact with clients and specialist vendors, as appropriate
Present work with knowledge and flair, defending it with logic, creativity, and appropriate passion
Incorporates ideas and makes revisions in response to the feedback and criticisms of clients and team members in a business-like, open-minded manner
Occasional travel expected

Qualifications:
Minimum Required:
Bachelor’s degree, ideally in English, Communication, or related science
5+ years relevant experience, ideally in a healthcare industry or pharma agency setting

Other Required:
Able to travel both domestically and internationally including overnight stays
Must possess a valid driver’s license allowing you to drive in the State(s) or Countries you drive in

Preferred:
Proficient in Microsoft Word
Familiar with office-communication platforms such as SocialBridge, ProofHQ, etc.
Working knowledge of managed markets, healthcare, and the healthcare delivery system
