Job Description
The Senior Communications Manager, Office of the CTO will develop the communication strategy and communications that allow all corporate direction and initiatives to be delivered to the technology org. The Sr. Manager will consult with senior leadership on the development of communications to cascade executive messaging to over 500 teammates. The incumbent is responsible for managing multiple communication tools and formats, including PowerPoint, video scripts, standard emails, and short form copy.
- Develop strategic messaging for senior leadership, by translating technology messages into communications for business leadership. Determine communication tool, provide talking points and script, and gain final approvals on messages.
- Evaluates all communication activities and acts as the final gatekeeper before corporate direction and messaging sent to the Technology team. Ensure communications are organized, accurate, and delivered effectively. Challenge incomplete or conflicting communications to prevent unnecessary workload. Continually look for opportunities to enhance communication technology internally (i.e. establishing videos and digital as a communication tool).
- Partner closely with Executive Admins and Designers to prepare and polish executive communications to leadership and to the Tech team. Prepare and repair PowerPoint presentations.
- Assess industry best practices, challenge obsolete/inefficient strategies (while providing viable solutions and/or alternatives) and proactively seek to improve all communication efforts. In addition, support and maintain existing systems/technologies.
- Translate data, charts, etc., into executive level communications and stories. Communicate data visually to executive audience.
- Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Marketing
- Five to seven years of experience in Internal Communications, Executive Communications
- PowerPoint Creation and Storytelling Expertise
