Senior Business Intelligence Analyst- Microsoft Stack

Job Description
Implementation Engineers is seeking client-facing Business Intelligence Analysts with expert level experience in Power BI. In this role, you will work with manufacturing clients to develop interactive dashboards, reports and analytics across a variety of operational value streams. Candidates must have demonstrated proficiency in ETL data manipulation, data cleansing, building applications, and visualizing data using MS Business Intelligence tools. The Business Intelligence Analyst will work collaboratively with the Implementation Engineers process improvement teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications that enable the digitization of data and metrics as part of the client’s management operating system.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, publish and support Business Intelligence solutions based on business requirements and technical specifications using the Microsoft BI Platform (SSMS, SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, Power Apps, Power Flow, Power BI)
• Perform data ETL manipulation and cleansing to create and prepare datasets for enterprise visualization using M language and other tools.
• Build automated & self-service data products in Microsoft Power Platform
• Collaborate with the BI Team to design and implement schemas that efficiently and accurately render data through Power BI
• End-to-end ownership to develop, publish & schedule Power BI desktop reports
• Work with client IT staff to configure all aspects of the power platform, including MS Gateways, Power BI Subscription Services service, RLS, Power BI connects
• Gather and organize data in R, Python and Power Query
• Design snowflake and star-schema data models that facilitate the analysis of information
• Assist with the design and development of cube \ metadata using best practices.

Technical Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Business Analytics or Information Technology
• Expert proficiency with DAX language on large, multi-table Power BI datasets
• Expert proficiency with the Power BI Service platform
• Intermediate proficiency in Python, VBA, html APIs
• 3-5 years in developing Power BI reports, dashboards, KPIs, and scorecards.
• 3-5 years of development experience in Data Analytic technologies
• 2+ years of experience writing SQL to solve complex information problems
• 2+ years of experience with data visualization and implementing high-value solutions
• 2+ years of experience working in a client-facing technical role

Additional Qualifications:

• Solid data analysis and statistical skills, including clustering, decision trees and neural networks desired
• Experience with Industry 4.0 sensoring and technologies preferred
• Tableau experience a plus
• Six Sigma and/or Lean manufacturing proficiency preferred
• Knowledge of ERP systems and Supply Chain a plus
• Previous consulting experience preferred
• Strong business acumen and management skills
• Strong client relationship and interpersonal skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
