What will your day look like?
- Enjoy collaborating with more- and less-experienced team members on consulting projects such as foundational landscape analyses, IP valuations, patent acquisition strategies, due diligence assessments, insurance underwriting related to IP, written reports and presentations, newsletters
- Support the creation of project proposals tailored to client business objectives and constraints
- Work collaboratively with clients and other team members in the delivery of services
- Participate in presentations to clients, presenting select content and addressing select issues
- Serve as a key resource to the team by independently seeking out answers to questions and taking the initiative to address project needs
- Demonstrate an ability to identify and prioritize the important work, address pressing issues and establish process improvements
- Engage with members of Consulting team to gain a deep understanding of existing systems, the underlying data, and how each system supports the business
- Aggregate and analyze data across multiple systems to ensure data accuracy, integrity and consistency
- Design and maintain various databases as required
- Utilize queries to retrieve, analyze and manipulate data as necessary
- Identify opportunities for improvement across our current software platform and recommend solutions to ensure maximum efficiency and utilization
- Have access to internal and external resources for client and industry research
- Prepare to shine, as you analyze data and produce high quality spreadsheets and other outputs
- Enjoy open communication to leaders and team members
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
- 7+ years of relevant IP experience, preferably including time working as part of an in-house IP team
- Substantial experience with multiple domains of IP practice (e.g., more than one of asset development, risk mitigation, data and analytics, portfolio management, licensing, transactional due diligence, patent and non-patent IP assets/risks).
- Engineering, scientific or technical training highly desired
- Experience with a wide range of publicly available IP analytic tools and other resources, including IP portfolio management databases
- Advanced level of computer literacy, including intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access and database design, with Python and/or data visualization experience a plus
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills
- Team player with good communication
- Highly organized.

- Able to manage multiple priorities with flexibility and adaptability to rapid growth or change.
- Work effectively and professionally with employees in multiple locations.

- Experience with legal and/or consulting industry a plus.
- Law, MBA or other relevant graduate degree highly desired
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, other technical discipline, or business field (e.g., finance)
