The ideal candidate for this position is passionate and creative about technology and is evangelizing its applications to solve existing business challenges, as well as driving future endeavors to provide our guests with superior vacation experiences. The Senior Applications Developer will be our "Technical Liaison" and charismatic next gen promoter, between a fast-moving research-and-development technology team and internal, non-IT business units. You will need to be as comfortable writing a quick script as you are interfacing face-to-face with internal, non-technical customers. The ideal candidate needs to be well-versed in many broad areas of Information Technology and have the unique ability to apply this knowledge into digestible solutions for our business partners.

Responsibilities include: some hands on and all oversight of programming, fixing, executing and versioning existing code for all company applications. Provide oversight of existing in-house and 3rd party applications in a fast-paced environment. Perform break-fix analysis on existing code and trouble shoot issues reported via end-users both internal and external. Participate in the development agile/scrum/scrumban process. Create documentation for all code fixes and root cause analysis knowledge. The right candidate will adapt and thrive in a fast paced, analytical, high volume environment, and be optimistic to a wide variety of technologies to work on. Experience in a large enterprise environment is highly recommended. Broad technical knowledge across many IT disciplines is required for this position:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:

  • Assist in planning, design and execution of the application function.
  • Perform a variety of troubleshooting and coding tasks using Salesforce GUI, APEX, SOQL and SQL, .NET but not limited to.
  • Familiar with the concepts of source control, continuous integration and test-driven development.
  • Ability to learn quickly and come up to speed on existing applications and their architecture.
  • Adherence to policies, procedures and documentation standards.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Manager(s).
  • Recommends upgrades, enhancements and implementation of new processes, software and systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and/or
  • Equivalent 4 years professional experience will be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • 4 Years (Min) related IT experience required
  • 1-2 years’ experience in Salesforce and Mulesoft required.
  • Experience communicating and reporting with team and leadership.
  • Ability to break down complex issues and develop root cause analysis and solutions.
  • Personal commitment to the success of processes by delivering desired results.
  • Experience with technical writing and document management/control practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to manage multiple goals and deadlines.
  • Strong technical aptitude including excellent trouble shooting skills.
  • Critical reasoning and complex problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in prioritizing and organizing assignments.
