Job Summary:
The Senior Acquisition Manager will analyze radar system specifications and requirements to support radar life cycle events associated with acquisition (either a new system or a life cycle upgrade) for surveillance radars such as those listed in the SOW. Senior Acquisition Manager will work with the Integrated Product Teams to provide in-service engineering expertise in engineering, logistics, planning, installation, and programmatic functions.
Job Duties:
This position is for an experienced Senior Acquisition Manager who is the expert for the holistic development (engineering, logistics, AIT) of the Navy rotating radars across all ship classes and platforms. The position is in the Virginia Beach, VA area and reports to the VP of Middle Atlantic Operations and works closely with government technical liaison representatives.
Mandatory Skill Requirements (must have):
- Experience: The position requires ten (10) years of experience in acquisition management associated with combat systems development.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing radar system specifications and requirements to support radar life cycle events associated with acquisition (either a new system or a life cycle upgrade) for surveillance radars such as those listed in the SOW.
- Demonstrated experience participating within an Integrated Product Team environment, coordinating with radar engineering, logistics, installation and programmatic functions in support of acquisition (either a new system or a life cycle upgrade) for surveillance radars such as those listed in the SOW.
Desired Skill Requirements:
- Knowledge of Navy Radars.
- Shipboard experience a plus.
Education/Equivalent:
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, computer science, math, or business discipline.
Special Considerations or Comments:
DAWIA LOG Level II or III certification
