Job description
Southerland, Inc. is looking for a Sr. Accountant/Assistant Controller to join our team. Southerland has six mattress, foundation and adjustable foundation manufacturing platforms across the United States and has aggressive growth plans in the near term. The ideal candidate will utilize their strong accounting background to manage Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Invoicing, check printing, month-end closing processes and physical inventory processing. The position will report to and work directly with Executive Management. The ideal candidate will be based out of our Corporate Office in Nashville, TN. The Company will provide a competitive salary based on experience and provides great benefits for all employees.
Job Duties
o Accounts Receivables and Invoicing
o Accounts Payables and check printing
o General Ledger
o Month-end Closing Process
o Physical Inventory Processing
o Identify and implement continuous improvements in business processes
o Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
o Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
o Senior Accountant and Assistant Controller experience, with 2 to 5 years of leadership experience preferred
o Strong background in database management and Microsoft Excel
o Demonstrated experience in building high performance teams
o Expert math, statistical, and analytical skills
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Must be able to effectively communicate
o Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
o Sound organizational and time management skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
