Overview: FleishmanHillard has an immediate opportunity for an energetic, self-starting, highly motivated Senior Account Executive public relations practitioner with a background in corporate communications to join our New York City team. This position provides the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with collaborative teams to assist nationally known clients with their public relations, corporate communications, reputation management, positioning and strategic media relations activities.

- Provide day-to-day account management and planning for clients on corporate positioning and messaging, integrated public relations and internal communications.
- Project management for multi-channel media relations programs, reflective of current media landscape and demands and executing initiatives – from influencer partnerships to media events, executive visibility initiatives, corporate transactions and thought leadership programs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with reporters, editors, bloggers and influencers.
- Develop executive content, messaging, media materials, briefing books and digital/social content.
- Manage multiple client relationships, tailoring approach to individual needs.
- Project management and oversight of the work of teams including mentoring of junior team members
- Liaise with analytics team to develop sophisticated reporting models to demonstrate program impact on core KPIs, which may include affinity, consideration, message adoption and share of voice.
- Participate in new business initiatives.
- Minimum of three to five years of public relations experience specifically related to corporate communications and media relations strategy (financial services experience is a plus). Previous agency experience is preferred.
- Exhibits best-in-class approach to media relations, including working with established and emerging media platforms to generate results, particularly with national business outlets.
- Excellent writing and editing abilities with experience in all forms of persuasive, corporate and executive communication, including news releases, executive talking points and Q&A preparation.
- Experience in developing and executing corporate and business-to-business strategic communications plans and confidence in presenting them effectively and persuasively to clients.
- Creative approach to ideation including bringing forth unexpected and non-traditional activation ideas that engage core audiences.
- Proficiency in social media and developing and implementing integrated strategies.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to work as a part of a team in the development of client programs and new business pitches.
- Results-focused approach and committed to going the extra mile for clients.
- Ability to work independently and with multiple clients at various leadership levels
- A high level of energy, excitement and enthusiasm, as well as vision and creative problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to set and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
- Additional proficiencies required include excellent interpersonal skills, solid news and issues judgment, and an understanding of how global businesses and organizations operate.
- Bachelors degree, preferably in Journalism, Communications, or Media, is a must
