About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Accessibility User Experience Specialist to join the User-Centered Design (UCD) team. This position will report to the Manager of the User-Centered Design & Innovation team in the Advisor & Client Services environment and will be responsible for providing a consultative role to any project teams who have questions or need guidance on how to be in compliance with the various established Accessibility Standards & Policies - primarily focused on our client-facing technology platforms. Salary ranges:
$64,800-$117,000
$73,100.00 - $129,900.00
$80,400 - $143,000
$87,700 - $155,900
May be considered for a discretionary bonus

In this role, you will:
- Work as an advisor to experienced leadership to develop or influence a team to understand how people use and access Wells Fargo technology
- Review and analyze moderately complex business, operational, or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
- Independently resolve moderately complex issues and lead team to meet functional area, project, or process deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the Accessible User Experience policies, procedures and/or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and mid-level managers to resolve Accessible User Experience issues and achieve goals; may lead projects, teams or serve as a mentor for lower level staff
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for questions and needs related to accessibility coding and design
- Promote accessibility within the organization; advocate accessibility and ensuring it is brought to the table for our client-facing technology platforms
- Deliver training to educate internal partners on the importance of accessibility
- Maintain accessibility standards for the organization and track areas of non-compliance, reporting associated defects and findings
- Act as a liaison between Wells Fargo Advisors and other lines of business embracing accessibility within Wells Fargo
- Consult and assist with resolution of accessibility-related policy risk and corrective actions assigned to Wells Fargo Advisors digital properties
- Participate in accessibility testing (with accessibility tools, assistive technologies, manual tools, etc.)
- Maintain and contribute to an on-line repository for storing accessibility related education, training, artifacts, and resources that are available to internal team members
- Remain up-to-date on the field of accessibility
- Interact with and educate 3rd party vendors and providers about accessibility, assist in addressing accessibility issues
- Evaluate future vendor for accessibility during the vendor selection process
- Work with Client and Financial Advisor platform support centers to address complaints and inquiries related to digital accessibility
- 4+ years of Graphic or Website Design experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years of experience in Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
- Experience conducting accessibility testing with a variety of tools such as, automated checkers (AXE, WAVE, etc.), desktop screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, etc.), mobile screen readers (VoiceOver, TalkBack), and keyboard only
- HyperText Markup Language (HTML) experience
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
- Ability to operate effectively in a geographically dispersed organization
- Financial services industry experience
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to develop and manage business relationships
- Strong project management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
- Basic understanding of coding languages
- Ability to travel up to 10%
