Security Officer

Adapt is currently looking for a full time Security Officer to join their Security team.

The ideal candidate will be available 11am-7:30pm Monday through Friday and open to covering other shifts as needed.

Position duties will include:

• Observe and report behavior of clients, visitors and other people near or in Adapt facilities.
• Patrol interior Multiple floors, all departments, parking lots for unauthorized vehicles, all exterior doors
• Document activities and incidents daily/ Report writing.
• Call police or fire department in case of an emergency
• Circulate among visitors, patrons and employees to preserve order and protect property
• Respond to reports from staff of incidents
• Possibly provide first aid/CPR assistance for staff/clients in emergency situations, if certified
• Answer questions from visitors, clients, and community members

Observation will often be done by walking around the grounds or through the facilities and will include some review of video footage and use of computers. Documentation will also be completed with each shift.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION:

DPSST Certified or eligible and capable of obtaining certification within approximately 1 month of hire.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
