Overview:

Oversee, instruct, and coordinate the activities of full-time and part-time building security staff as well as contracted security services. Take full responsibility for overseeing activites of the Security Office and Department.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversees the work of all security employees. Ensure that areas are being properly patrolled.
  • Ensures proper training of new officers. Responsible for new officers control room training.
  • Oversee processes and procedures as they relate to contract security group.
  • Attends client meetings.
  • Maintains strong communication with client throughout their event
  • Conduct inspections of various security posts to ensure on-duty Security Officers are properly performing their assigned tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with established rules and regulations. Assist in the recommendation, development and implementation of improvements to systems and procedures.
  • Frequently check fire and security system for proper operation. Be able to troubleshoot security system and retrieve necessary information.
  • Perform clerical duties incidental to security, i.e. logs and records.
  • Operate and monitor control panels, alarms and related security equipment.
  • Provide leadership in the event of an emergency.
  • Responsible for daily work schedules of Security Officers ensuring all shifts are covered for vacation, personal, and sick days. Distribute and monitor work performed by shift Security Officers. Arrange for absentee coverage
  • Prepare and monitor expenses for Security department; includes managing budget and expense log worksheets
  • Prepare weekly/monthly labor allocations worksheets and submit per deadlines
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Must be able to work flexible work schedule including holidays, evenings and weekends
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of High School Diploma
  • Four years of Management experience
  • Two years of industry experience in hospitality.
