Job Description
We are searching for a Security Dispatcher - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will monitor and respond to automated building system alarms including fire protection, medical air/gas, refrigeration, pneumatic tube, access control, burglar alarm, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), and utility systems in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and regulatory agency codes. You will dispatch and process work orders in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to accurately document services requested, and actions taken to ensure customer satisfaction and to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Think you’ve got what it takes? Responsibilities
- Monitors and responds to automated building system alarms in accordance with departmental and hospital policies
- Responds appropriately to system alarms by identifying source of problem, performing required online adjustments, and/or providing technicians with appropriate information to resolve problem
- Handles incoming calls courteously and professionally to assess the services requested with no more than 4 complaints during a rolling 12-month period
- Dispatches Police Officers, Security, and Facilities Operations personnel by radio as required
- Documents work order resolution in CMMS in accordance with departmental procedures for timeliness and accuracy with 95% compliance
- Monitors daily operational logs and systems of equipment and Public Safety announcements
- Identifies and appropriately resolves maintenance deficiencies in assigned area to maintain space quality through improvement of efficiency, outcomes, and customer service
- Ensures effective communication and workflow for responsibilities in assigned area as demonstrated by maintaining good rapport and cooperative working relationships with internal and external customers
High school diploma or equivalent required- Stationary Engineer, 3rd Grade license preferred
- 3 years related dispatch experience required
- Certificate program with a minimum of 500 hours in service- related technology i.e. mechanical, electrical, security, or controls required
- 3 years security or police experience or experience as a service-related technician required
- Prior hospital experience preferred

Three private OB/GYN practices, The Family Fertility Center, The Menopause Center and The Women’s Place – Center for Reproductive Psychiatry are all housed here.
