Job Description
- Scientist 3
- BS in analytical chemistry or a closely related field with at least 3-5 years of hands-on research experience
- MS in analytical chemistry or a closely related field with at least 1-2 years of hands-on research experience.
- Analytical chemist position available in the Kenilworth and Rahway, New Jersey research facility
- It is a laboratory-based scientific role tasked with experience in operating and maintaining open access LC-MS
- Experience in HPLC is required with an interest in expanding knowledge/background in LC-MS method development and optimization, validation, data analysis, and sample preparation techniques
- Experience in routine method development and routine testing for LC/MS.
- Experience with automated liquid handling systems (Hamilton, Tecan) for well plate / reaction plate sample preparation for high throughput testing.
- Experience in mass spectral data interpretation including structural assignments of unknown compounds is a plus in addition to any background experience in LCMS
- The successful candidate must be very familiar with the routine use of modern analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, KF, UV, and IR spectroscopy
- Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and oral/written communications skills
- Consistently deliver high quality and fully compliant results and interact with a diverse customer base daily
