The Scientific Content Writer will work with multiple departments within the company to write and/or compile and produce clearly stated, thoughtful, compelling and concise content covering a variety of topics areas including proteins manufacturing, vaccine development, cell and gene therapy as well as other trending topics in Biotech and Biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
The role will require to research, develop, write, and edit technical and informational materials for various Marketing and company needs in one or more of the following areas: marketing collateral (internal and customer facing), application or technical notes, customer bulletins and white papers, or articles, blogs and interviews for publications, both for internal and external customer usage.
The ideal candidate must have a proven record of successful document authorship and deep experience with proactive timeline management, cross-departmental meeting coordination, effective and assertive communication, comments resolution, attention to detail, quality control, accountability, and adherence to the company’s messaging platform.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage document creation lifecycle. This includes kickoff meetings to define assignment scope (content, quality and timelines) with key stakeholders, document template creation, internal review processes, including quality control checks, version control, team review and comments resolution, finalization and approvals.
- Responsible for writing, the on-time, properly formatted and high-quality delivery of bylined articles, blogs, video scripts, white papers, case studies, data sheets, product brochures and other marketing collateral.
- Partner with internal and external SMEs and coordinate cross-functional collaborations/meetings to ensure completeness/accuracy in documentation and meet the defined quality, content and timelines.
- Must effectively communicate and build productive working relationships with other team members and SMEs with whom he/she will work closely.
- Assist Marketing Department in assuring digital and print collaterals are scientifically correct.
- Review messages for clarity, consistency, and grammar.
- Conduct research via articles and news on key topics within major publications in the commercial and academic research contexts to stay up-to date on trends in the market.
- Responsible for maintaining style guides to ensure consistency of tone within both commercial and academic research publications and environments.
- Actively participate in team meetings and activities to gain domain knowledge in bioprocessing and biopharmaceutical subject matter and to develop a strong understanding of Sartorius products and solutions.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Life Sciences, Biopharma or Biotech fields
- Supervisory and/or project management experience preferred
- English proficiency (both spoken and written)
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in English, life sciences, biomedical engineering, biostatistics, technical communication, journalism or similar field or other related/ relevant fields.
- Ability to understand bioprocessing, biopharmaceutical and drug development and commercialization process
- Passionate attention to detail, willingness to work with both internal and external teams to produce the technical content for white papers, cases studies, and other documentation
- Have good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
- Extensive knowledge of the company, brand and product preferred
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel)
- Able to work in a fast -paced environment
- Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
