School Monitor*

JOB GOAL: To monitor and assist in the school building needs during the day as directed by administration. Assist in monitoring the number of students accessing bathrooms to conform to COVID-19 guidelines. Note: Bathroom monitoring will not require entering the bathrooms but will monitor and control the number of students in the bathroom facility at one time. Will assist in supervising students, coordinating activities, and ensure student safety and well-being while in the school building or grounds.

QUALIFICATIONS: *

  • High School Diploma.
  • Experience working with students.
  • Safety Care, CPR, and first aid training preferred and/or willing to be trained.
  • Ability to take direction from and work under the supervision of one or more faculty members.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in creating an environment that supports the safety measures put in place.
  • Assist with monitoring the number of students accessing the bathroom per COVID-19 guidelines.
  • Assist students in following school protocols by monitoring hallways and other areas as directed by the administration.
  • Ability to take direction, provide feedback and execute plans accordingly
  • Outstanding listening skills
  • Ability to foster and maintain a positive school climate
  • Communicates effectively with students and school staff in a positive and professional manner
  • Assist when needed to cover lunches, breaks, etc.
  • Attend meetings as required
  • Additional responsibilities the principal deems necessary

SALARY: Non-union contract ($15.68- $20.52 per hour)
