RESPONSIBILITIES:
a. Answers phones promptly and courteously (ALWAYS WITH A SMILE).
b. Addresses patients concerns.
c. Schedules patients with the correct physician and correct location to ensure top quality care to our patient.
d. Schedules, reschedules, and cancels appointments as necessary.
e. Triage all calls for proper scheduling appointments and transferring calls.
f. Accurately entering or updating all demographics and insurance information.
g. Effectively triage scheduling calls to ensure appropriate scheduling.
h. Pays close attention to patient returns to avoid any patient inconveniences.
i. Transfers calls requesting medical advice, prescription refills, or surgery information to the technician voicemail.
j. Transfers calls requesting financial information to the Billing Department.
k. Meeting all Meaningful use requirements, including Enrolling patients with the patient portal.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Two years minimum experience in a medical office.
3. Basic typing skills.
4. Computer experience.
