Description:
Responsible for effective scheduling of procedures performed in the Cardiology Services Department. Position Expectations & Responsibilities: Expected to have the ability to correctly follow procedures and protocols, both written and oral. Expected to have the ability to work independently, recognize errors and make corrections. Expected to have the ability to investigate and solve problems. Expected to have the ability to coordinate workflow. Expected to have knowledge of scheduling policies and procedures, as well as, dictation and transcription processes. Expected to have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Expected to have basic mathematical skills. Expected to have knowledge of Microsoft Office, HBOC, PCM, Physician Portal, DVI, Chartnet software. Expected to have typing skills. Expected to obtain accurate demographic data and insurance or billing information to ensure accurate and timely patient registration. Expected to provide direction and support for the department in the Supervisor's absence. Expected to ensure timely and accurate processing and distribution of dictated reports. Expected to assist with accurately entering each patient's charges in the Star Navigation billing system within the time frame of the business office. Expected to resolve problems encountered during the scheduling process by investigating and coordinating. Expected to recognize the influence of beliefs and cultures on behaviors and accept strengths and limitations in others. Expected to exhibit adaptability, flexibility, self control and maturity in work and behavior. Expected to exhibit calm responsiveness to emergency or stressful situations. Expected to recognize situations which require notification of a supervisor. Expected to write simple correspondence. Expected to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Qualifications:
