The AWS World Wide Public Sector Federal Delivery Organization (FDO) is looking for a Schedule and Risk Manager to support our public sector business. The FDO ensures contractual delivery and enables the growth of the business by managing the growing portfolio of prime contracts for AWS to provide cloud services to government customers.
This position is based in the Herndon, VA/Washington Metro Area (WMA) or the Seattle area. You will join a cadre of program management and technical business development professionals in pursuing new and overseeing existing US Government contract requirements, milestones, and deliverables. As a Schedule and Risk Manager, you will spend time working across all phases of our prime contracts. You will act as the single-threaded-owner for an authoritative, portfolio level schedule. You will create a mechanism for updating, sharing, and improving current schedule activities. You will act as the authoritative voice for schedule analysis, and must be able to understand dependencies, trade-offs, and risks. You will aggregate and analyze programmatic and portfolio level risks. You will interface directly with PM leaders of large contracts to provide a holistic view of schedules and risks.
The role requires experience creating a clear programmatic view of programmatic direction and progress by using a schedule as a mechanism. The role requires the ability to combine multiple underlying projects and programs into a consistent view. You will draw upon your background as a project and program manager to identify the appropriate inputs, and have the autonomy to define the schedule output. You will collaborate with the PM staff of our contracts to continuously raise the bar on our programmatic execution.
