Job Description

Consolidated Precision Products has an immediate need for an experienced Saw Operator to join our team. The Saw Operator is a critical position in assuring the aerospace parts are precisely cut. Experience is preferred; we will train. These roles report to a Supervisor at our foundry in Bloomington, MN and is a valuable member of the CPP-Minneapolis team.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Adjusts height of saw guide, waxes blade, etc., to prepare for each job assignment
  • Places castings on table, using overhead hoist as required, and removes castings and places in bin upon completion of sawing operation
  • Manually guides castings through band saw blade to remove gates, risers, flashes and surface roughness, etc.
  • Inspects all finished castings and performs simple rework as required
  • Performs routine maintenance on machine and contacts the Maintenance Department for major repairs and problems
  • Maintain excellent attendance
  • Ability to follow written procedures and standard work
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
  • Work on/participate in special projects as needed or assigned by Management
  • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends
