Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in evaluation of existing SOX processes and related significant SOX IT applications using top down risk based approach.
  • Continually evaluate the completeness and adequacy of documented SOX controls.
  • Perform and document walkthroughs of all new in-scope SOX processes and execute tests of SOX controls, summarizing and communicating the results to key stakeholders.
  • Perform independent research and analysis of risks related to ICFR
  • Review quarterly SOX certifications and evaluate the impact of deficiencies on the overall ICFR certification.
  • Coordinate identification of SOX risks and controls with internal and external auditors.
  • Assist in analyzing new accounting standards and the potential impacts to the Company
  • Assist with the preparation of goodwill and identifiable intangible annual impairment test
  • Participate in the preparation or review of technical accounting memos supporting significant accounting transactions
  • Assist in the preparation of 10-Q, 10-K, Proxy and other regulatory filings
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting or auditing experience, Big 4 preferred
  • CPA and/or Master’s degree in accounting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of audit processes and internal controls, with previous SOX experience preferred
  • Understanding of the COSO Framework for evaluating internal controls and its interaction with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
