Technical Skills

• Experience deploying and managing virtual machines and managed databases on a major cloud platform, such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and/or GCP.

• Experience in architecting highly scalable distributed systems, using different open-source tools.
• Experience in working on Cloud Distributed Storage/Databases and Distributed Data Processing platforms
• Expert level proficiency in managing Redhat Linux, SUSE Linux, Ubuntu and Windows Server.
• Provision and configure cloud assets using scripts, APIs, CLIs and management console.
• Professional Exposure to Dev Ops release and build management, automation scripts experience with tools like Git, bash scripting, PowerShell, AWS Cloud Formation, Ansible, Salt, Chef or Puppet.
• Experience in Multi-Cloud Architecture develop advanced cloud-based solutions and migration of existing workloads to the cloud.
• Ability to recommend the best-in-class cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the Customer.
• Cloud Architecture Experience over the Configuration of Identity & Access Management, Networking, Multi tenancy Design, File Transfers, Security, Load Balancing.
• Experience in applying Security to all Cloud related technologies including Operating systems.
• Expertise in Cloud Architecture & Security fundamentals and assist enterprise in Penetration Testing, Risk and compliance standards adherence.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain a highly secure and expansive modular system architecture
• Apply regular and security updates to servers, database and web applications
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability

• Assist with the design and architecture of hosted customer environments.
• Administer the state of all components in our cloud and development infrastructure.
• Periodically report to the customer and company on system performance metrics.
• Administer overall site availability, security, latency, and system health.
• Monitor and troubleshoot site performance issues.
• Monitor for server and software vulnerabilities and administer upgrade and patching efforts.
• Work closely with the development team to ensure high availability and security.
• Maintain cloud-based servers including patching vulnerabilities, backup/restore operations, provisioning of new servers, and configuring firewalls.
• Perform routine vulnerability and security scans on the environment, resolve or escalate findings.
• Administer Disaster Recovery Procedures and perform annual DR exercise.
• Maintain DNS and manage SSL certificates.

Leads technical support in the areas of infrastructure hosted on providers AWS, Azure and GCP Cloud.

Administers, configures, monitors and tests application servers for business and network operations.

Provides suggestions and recommendations for new technology solutions. Implements end user and application security and monitors storage capacities and performance for applications servers;

Automates reoccurring tasks using Python, Ansible and Puppet modules. Implements and monitors application server, upgrades, and patches.

Monitors the software and hardware inventory and ensures that copyright and licensing requirements are met.

Leads daily system monitoring, verifying integrity and availability of hardware, network and server installations, configuration, systems and key processes, performance, testing, and verifies

completion of scheduled jobs such as backups, restores, patches and automating reoccurring tasks.

Administers AWS Cloud services such as EC2, S3, ALB/NLB, CloudWatch, IAM policies etc.

Serves as a subject matter expert on major IT environment upgrades, enhancements, new functionality, capacities, performance, cost effectiveness, and business integrations.

+ Participates in the on-call rotation providing 24x7 support.

+ Provides input and recommendations on new potential technology solutions based on research and analysis.

+ Designs and implements infrastructure solutions to meet business and technical objectives on-prem, and in the AWS Cloud.

+ Analyzes and resolves technology and end user incidents during standard business hours or on-call rotations; Monitors issue resolutions and collaborates with the application team and engineers when necessary to resolve and apply fixes.

+ Maintains standard application and operations procedure documentation.

+ Ensures compliance with Software Testing Life-Cycle standard operating procedures and policies.
