Sanitation Worker

Torn & Glasser located in Pomona, California is looking to hire Sanitors/Sanitation Workers for the 3rd Shift.

The Sanitor/Sanitation Worker is responsible for completing the cleaning and sanitation of production machinery, process equipment, warehouse equipment and buildings in adherence to food safety, health, safety, and hygiene standards.

This is a full-time, Monday thru Friday with some Sundays, Openings on 3rd shift available: 11:00PM-7:30AM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning and sanitation activities within safety, quality, cost, policy and delivery requirements.
• Cleaning activities include, but are not limited to, sweeping, mopping floors, sanitizing machinery, cleaning of conveyors, surface areas and other areas deemed appropriate.
• Disassembles and reassembles production equipment, as necessary.
• Uses only appropriately approved chemicals to safely clean equipment.
• Uses all cleaning and sanitation equipment correctly as instructed and only on designated areas.
• Observes all facility safety rules.
• Requires standing for the entire shift with a Team Player attitude

Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
• Previous Food experience a plus
• Ability to work independently or with a team and communicate effectively.
• Comfort working in a high-speed production environment.
• Ability to work in a high paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Successful completion of a post offer physical, drug screen and background check is required.

• Hairnets, smocks, non-slip shoes/boots, gloves (provided)

Other Duties and Responsibilities

• Compliance to GMP, Food Safety, Food Defense and Food Quality regulations as required by the company, customers and/or government legislation, including timely communication to appropriate facility management of any non-conformity issues or violations found.
