Job Description

The NielsenIQ BASES team is the worldwide leader in analyzing and consulting on new consumer products and we are at the core of our clients’ new product launch strategies. We work with clients at all stages of new product development, from early-stage ideation to optimizing communication and positioning, package design, and predicting and growing in-market sales.

As a Sample Specialist, you will:

  • Adhere to strict timelines and troubleshoot issues to ensure projects meet client requirements and are completed on time

  • Liaise with operational teams to ensure deliverables match expectations

  • Assess project feasibility, accurately, and proactively communicate information on capabilities to project and field coordination, including alternatives as needed

  • Provide logic-checks for field designs – feasibility, sample and incidences, placement, etc

  • Ensure timely delivery on project setups, matching study requirements

  • Provide all sampling aspects of a project:

    • Sample design and preparation

    • Aligning sample sources

    • Project administration

    • Quality of outputs

  • Create field reports for troubleshooting project design using data platform software (Router)

  • Provide timely communication on pre-field setup/in-field adjustments with project teams

  • Communicate with internal and external team members to address any concerns, discussing design revisions or making adjustments to project requirements during fieldwork

  • Ensure all NielsenIQ quality standards are followed


Qualifications:

  • B.A. or B.S. preferred

  • Detail oriented

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Suite

  • Knowledge of SQL and SQL Server preferred

  • Strong customer service orientation. Ability to coordinate among departments, communicate status updates and provide follow up

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a project team

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required; ability to coordinate with team members and internal clients
