Sales VP Talent Development Director, Highland Capital Brokerage

Summary:
We currently have an opening for Sales VP Talent Development Director at Highland Capital Brokerage and this position is remote.
The primary responsibilities are to onboard and train our newly recruited sales professionals as well as ensure all of the sales professionals have the training needed to maximize their potential.
Responsibilities:
- Build solid relationships with the recruiter, sales leaders, and other leaders inside Highland and across the industry
- Partner with the recruiter and sales leaders to ensure onboarding and training needs are met for all sales teams
- Develop and execute strong onboarding program for all sales professionals
- Develop individual coaching plans for new sales hires
- Design, develop and deliver sales training programs (including sales concepts, products and other training as needed)
- Coordinate with other externally-driven training to ensure continuity for sales professionals
- Establish and maintain credibility as instructor related to core values, critical thinking skills, thought leadership, business acumen, delivery competence, professionalism, and content expertise
- Determine strategies on how to enhance training processes and delivery methods to ensure the biggest impact for Highland
- Keep up with industry trends, participate in educational opportunities and read professional publications
- Create communities of like-minded sales VPs to maximize potential and grow culture
- All other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in sales required
Basic Requirements:
- Experience in the life insurance and/or annuity industry is required
- 5+ years learning and development experience and demonstrated understanding of the overall challenges in the field
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills as well as reasoning and critical thinking
- Exceptionally effective in executive and large group presentation settings
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively with multiple levels and cross-functions across Highland
- Strong business acumen: understanding the strategy, processes, culture, functions, and needs of the business
- Strong organizational skills and demonstrated agility and ability to manage multiple and sometimes competing priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook, Word & Excel).
- Excellent communication skills.
