Job Description
Sales Support Engineer will support the North American sales team to maximize sales and grow the business. Work closely with R&D, Product Management, Field Service Support, and Marketing and translate customer needs into product and solutions that solve retailer’s business challenges. The Sales Support Engineer should have capability to perform market and competitor analysis, train sales team on product launches, and participate in customer facing meetings.
JOB DUTIES
- Detailed understanding of all technical and application solutions for RF, RFID, Data Analytics, and Networking
- Direct connection with R&D, Product Management, Field Service Support, and Marketing
- Provide R&D and Product Management updates to sales team
- Participate in customer meetings leading technology conversation
- Lead data/network support to sales and customers
- Work closely with marketing to provide sales enablement tools as well as customer training collateral
- Participate in Customer Experience Center visits
- Work with Project Managers to provide customer specific details that will be used to markup store drawings
- Support extended to Dealer Channel program
- Work with Product Management to prepare and present quarterly sales training webinars
- Conduct competitor analysis in conjunction with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management
- Technical expertise support for trade shows
- Lead customer solution testing

EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Master’s Degree is a plus
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, product marketing, or sales support
- Experience in technology (enterprise, supply chain, retail, industrial)
- Experience in sales support and field related experience is a plus
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Strong analytical and product knowledge, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into solutions
- Experienced in IT capabilities and data information systems
- Flexibility – willingness to travel extensively, throughout NA
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally
- Ability to plan and prioritize work activities with limited supervision, along with the capacity to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Aptitude and enthusiasm to work in a multi-cultural global team
- Proficient in MS Office including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Proven ability to collaborate with internal teams to effectively deliver excellent service
