Get to Know This RoleThe Sales Pricing & Profitability Specialist (SPPS) will be responsible for analyzing internal and external sales, pricing and profitability data to help define strategies to improve both regional pricing and budget allocation strategies to improve profitability for Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. (SNBC). The SPPS will be working primarily with the V.P. Sales Strategy & Pricing (VPSP) to oversee pricing across the company to optimize SNBC margin contribution results.

Get to Know This RoleThe Sales Pricing & Profitability Specialist (SPPS) will be responsible for analyzing internal and external sales, pricing and profitability data to help define strategies to improve both regional pricing and budget allocation strategies to improve profitability for Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. (SNBC). The SPPS will be working primarily with the V.P. Sales Strategy & Pricing (VPSP) to oversee pricing across the company to optimize SNBC margin contribution results.
What You Will Do
- Regional Spending
- Issues and reports on monthly Sales P&L for Gross Revenue, Net Revenue, and Margin Contribution
- Reviews and helps define sales promotion and discounting strategies
- Advises V.P. & Directors of Sales on spending strategies and ROI
- Helps define and manage annual sales budgets in total and for sales teams
- Monitors, tracks, and reports on performance to sales budgets monthly
- Works with Finance and Brand Management team to define margin contribution targets by brand and product and ensures new product launches achieve fully TPIs and discounting targets
- Assists the VPSP in the short/long term profitability strategies for all Sales Regions
- Pricing
- Works with VP Sales and Directors of Sales to plan and execute pricing strategies
- Oversees internal SNBC pricing process and management of Sales Pricing Tool (SPT) and ViP Price 2.0
- Works with Finance to input current pricing and results as part of the SNBC annual business plan and budget
- Creates and manages SNBC pricing data bank to provide field sales with perspective on Distributor Price-To-Retailer (PTRs) nationally
- Has thorough understanding of freight costs and State taxes as they relate to “laid in” costs with distributors
- Assists the VPSP in the short/long term pricing strategies for all SNBC products
- Assists in strategic pricing analysis and models to maximize SNBC margin contribution
- Assists Marketing in the development and pricing of new item initiatives as it relates to internal profitability and competitive products
- Performs ad-hoc analysis upon request
- Utilizes data to help develop profitable SNBC selling stories
- Maintain market awareness, staying in touch with the sales force, our distributor partners, and our customers
- Other duties as assigned by VPSP
Please Apply if You Have
- Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business Administration or Finance required or any combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved
- 2 years business analytics required and
- 2 years distributor and/or supplier experience required and
- Experience working with sales and distributor pricing preferred
- Experience working in the CPG industry preferred
- Excellent analytical skills including the ability to utilize and integrate data from various sources, accurately interpret data, and appropriately apply finding to business issues
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills
- Proficiency with syndicated data such as Nielsen and/or IRI
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong analytical skills, a demonstrated ability to leverage data from internal and external sources, and present findings
- Strong communications skills including ability to deliver effective formal presentations
- High level of professionalism and ability to interact with all organizational levels
- Product knowledge/industry knowledge
- Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite
- Selected candidate must pass a pre-employment, post offer background check
