Sales Porter - BMW Elk Grove

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Washes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows, and wipes down doorjambs.
• Vacuums interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris.
• Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam-cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents.
• Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operation.
• Uses proper eye, hand, and body protection when using products that require protection.
• Fills vehicle with fuel.
• Applies dressing on tires and tire wells.
• Maintains showroom and stock vehicles in clean and presentable condition at all times.
• Keeps work area neat and clean.
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
• Empties garbage into designated areas.
• Opens lot for business and closes lot when closing.
• Keeps service drive clear and clean at all times.
• Cleans customer lounge area and coffee area at all times.
• Assist Sales with Opening of Lot New and Used
• Fill Holes in New and Used Car Lines

• Ensure that no New/Used Cars are mixed. Builds boxes for each used car to hold its information/paperwork upon being stocked in.
• Makes sure all paperwork is up to date, printed, and placed in each individual used car box in conjunction with the Used Car Manager.
• Assists in placing used car paperwork in the windows for display, such as Buyers Guides, KBB Pricing sheets and other advertising material.
• Makes sure every new car has a laminated Maronie/MSRP Sticker placed in the front window at all times.
• Makes sure that the LoJack sticker in every car is not faded from the sun and replaces if it is.
• Reviews our cars to locate if any of our cars are not up to our standard cosmetically
• Align All Rows of vehicles

• Check to see if any vehicles need gas New/Used
• Make sure all New/Used Stickers are properly displayed
• Start and run all vehicles once per week, 5 Min.
• Check In any New Vehicles and Stock them in
• Clean any New Vehicles after PDI
• Arrange back Stock lot and keep organized
• Walk the lot and search for damaged vehicles
• Walk the lot and re wash any vehicles that need it
• Walk the lot and pick up any trash or garbage
• Sold Unit Details as needed
• Freshen up Showroom Vehicle Display
• Keep detail area organized and stocked
• Assist Sales in closing the lot
• Ensure all customer and lot vehicles are locked!
• New vehicle physical inventory
• Used vehicle physical inventory
• New vehicle photos
• Used vehicle photos
• Assist service porters when necessary
• Zurich Shield Application
• Full detailing of vehicles including buffing and paint touch up
• Other Duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Independently motivated with the ability to work within a team environment.
• Excellent customer service/satisfaction skills.
• Organized and computer proficient.
• GED or Equivalent High school Education Clean DMV.
