BASIC JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a motivated sales oriented individual to join our growing sales team. The goal of the position is to prepare you for your own territory as an account manager. The Sales Management Trainee will perform all clerical and rental agent duties, as necessary, to support the company's rental and lease operations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Realize that business is built on customer satisfaction and devote himself/herself to guaranteeing satisfaction to customers.

2. Will be knowledgeable of and follow all company policies, procedures and governmental requirements in the rental of the company's equipment to its customers. Will follow company guidelines and daily operation of his office, including, but not limited to yard checks, contract preparation, approvals, insurance verification, driver approvals, billing, trip records, fuel tickets, etc.

3. Will be responsible for the preparation of all rental invoices on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, following established company procedures. Follow all company guidelines in the quoting of rental rates. The Rental Director will approve any deviation from company guidelines.

3. Will coordinate the maintenance and repair of all rental equipment with the company service managers.

4. On a daily basis, he/she will update the Rental Director of all rental operations, lost rental sales, service requirements, accidents, customer requests, etc., so that the Rental Director may effectively manage his department.

5. He/she will solicit rental business and make follow-up phone calls as directed by the Rental Director.

6. All billings, reports and analyses will be performed and completed in a timely manner.

7. Will coordinate the runners moving Miller’s rental and lease vehicles from branch to branch and to and from vendors throughout the day.

8. Keep abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers.

9. Understand the terminology of the leasing and rental business and keep abreast of technological changes in the various products.

What We’re Looking For

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Have a valid driver's license and a good driving record. Must have excellent communication skills and professional personal appearance. Ability to meet and establish minimum quota of customer contacts and ability to explain the rental and leasing concepts to customers, and the ability to work well with the Sales and Service Departments in developing our rental and lease potential. A college degree or the equivalent is required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The Sales Management Trainee works both indoors and outdoors. He/she may be required to meet with customers at their place of business. The Rental Department will be located in or near the shop operation and will operate in a shop environment.
