Company Overview: Carlyle Compressor is a Carrier business unit that provides products and technical sales support to a global customer base of internal Carrier and external HVAC/R customers. The B to B structure supports OEM and aftermarket channels. Supported by manufacturing facilities in Asia and North America, the Carlyle Sales Team is responsible for steering Carrier/Carlyle’s compressor development strategies and managing all customer-facing activities. We are seeking a motivated and independent individual with a strong and well-rounded sales, technical, and business acumen. This position’s primary responsibility is to grow Carlyle sales revenue. The position demands a strong technical representative with exceptional communication and organizational skills. A customer-focused attitude is a must.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:- Focus on managing and growing sales from a dedicated customer base.
- Responsible for all communications to and from the customers
- Manage select global customer accounts with specific short-term and long-term growth initiatives.
- Provide technical support to customer engineering groups; application guidelines, simulation software, compressor and accessory selection tools, etc.
- Work with all facets of the customer’s organization, including engineering, purchasing/sourcing, operations, product management, and quality representatives.
- Manage pricing strategies and deliver pricing actions to the customer.
- Provide customer information through presentations covering new products, project schedules, quality performance, and technical training.
- Facilitate all information exchange from the factory resources to the customers.
- Support sales and marketing efforts to evaluate market segment trends, monitor government regulatory activities, and solicit customer feedback.
- Document market and customer findings and communicate the information back to the organization.
- Support corporate directed Sales, Operations, Inventory and Production (SIOP) activities, including sales forecasting for the position’s customer base such as monthly updates and support of the creation of Annual Operating Plans.
- Support all product and business promotional activities and participate in regional and international trade shows.
- Support all Voice of Customer (VOC) activities.
- Technical Associates Degree
- Undergraduate Degree in Business or Engineering preferred
- 10+ years of experience in Technical Sales and Marketing
- 5+ years of experience in the commercial HVAC/R industry
- Solid understanding of compressor technologies and applications
- Strong technical writer with experience generating business proposals
- Highly motivated, self-sufficient, and capable of managing multiple projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 50%+ domestic travel with occasional international travel and weekend travel.
