As Director, Advisor Success this is a critical role in our growth and the successful candidate will be responsible for directing the AppSmart Advisor Success team. Being fanatically obsessed with the advisor experience, you will be responsible for defining and delivering an impactful onboarding experience for new advisors that are part of our continued organic growth. Secondly, the role leads program management for the pre-signing and subsequent onboarding of base acquisitions for AppSmart's acquisition growth strategy. In addition, the role leads a team of advisor support advocates that deliver a concierge style support experience for our top advisors and finally this role leads the operations productization for the new and game changing AppCapital offerings that will be consumed by our advisor community.
The successful candidate will have a track record of delivering the highest levels of customer and partner satisfaction, will have a deep background in the agent channel and channel management. In addition, experience in operationalizing best practices, program management and data manipulation with reporting would be key skills sets to being the successful candidate in this position. Personal skill sets that support building and driving collaboration across direct report and indirect report teams would be a must have for this position.
Description of the role
The Sales Engineer is an advisor/customer facing position supporting new and existing advisors to drive sales and new revenue. Best candidate for this position will be highly effective at building and maintaining relationships with advisors and technology providers as a technical resource and subject matter expert in Network services, WAN Technologies, UCaaS, CCaaS, Telecom, Edge Security Solutions and other related services. In order to architect complete solutions across the technology stack, proficiency in Cloud, DaaS, DRaaS, Data Center, SaaS is also needed. This role will focus on sales opportunities and partner knowledge development, as well as, developing strategic technology roadmaps for advisors. To achieve success, being proficient in XaaS offerings in communication services will be critical. We seek a candidate that will strive to be viewed as a thought leader in the technology space. The most successful candidate has strong sales abilities and is eager to work as a direct overlay to the Channel Sales Team.
- Assist sales team with overall advisor development and planning as it relates to technical aspects of growing the advisor's core competencies and sales.
- Build strong relationships with the technical and sales resources from each of our providers with the emphasis of engaging those resources to help drive advisor growth.
- Working with the sales team, advisors, and providers you'll manage the technical sales cycle to ensure new business opportunities come to fruition and generate revenue for the company.
- Conduct customer and/or advisor facing presentations on offerings/solutions/training/advisor development.
- Eager to participate in the on-going recruiting efforts for new advisors.
- Overlay sales personnel providing specialist product expertise.
- An ability to rapidly understand and translate clients' business challenges and concerns into a solution-oriented discussion
- Enjoys training field sales on industry/solutions/providers.
- Builds and maintains a network and up to date specific industry and product knowledge.

Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in customer facing pre-sales technical consulting role
- Channel experience highly preferred
- Passionate about Digital Transformation and Business Continuity solutions.
- Strong knowledge and experience working in a pre-sale role in the telecom solutions space
- Must have business savvy, and understand the drivers, trends and other factors that influence companies technology decisions.
- Thorough knowledge of business technologies, such as: network elements (Fiber, Coax, 4/5G), UCaaS, CCaaS, SD-WAN, WAN solutions, VPN, VoIP, Edge security/firewalls, IoT, mobility.
- Working knowledge of Cyber security, private, public and hybrid cloud solutions, IaaS, DaaS, DRaaS, OpEx / CapEx models,
- Bachelor's degree preferred, not required
