Hexcel is currently seeking a Sales Development Manager to be based remotely in the Charleston, SC area ( St. Louis, MO considered). The Sales Development Manager will be a key Hexcel interface for all business growth activities and collaborative development efforts across multiple Boeing locations in the U.S. and Canada.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
- Positioning Hexcel materials and engineered products to maximize content on current and future commercial and military aircraft.
- Fostering customer relationships and communications – knowledge of key aerospace programs, timing, and composite applications.
- Leading regular webinars, customer tech days and manage customer focused newsletters.
- Managing regular engagement with the customer in areas of technology exchange and collaborative development to position Hexcel on future airplane programs.
- Working directly with various customer locations in the Americas to monitor latest sales forecasts, risks and opportunities in the planning and latest estimate business processes.
- Working closely and effectively with all related team players – R&T, Operations, Sales/Marketing.
- Active participating on designated Hexcel customer growth team.
- Submitting timely and comprehensive reports and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years related experience and/or training in sales.
- Sound understanding of composite materials; sales or related experience a must.
- Strong communications, interpersonal, planning, organizational, negotiation, and decision-making skills. Comprehensive business proposal writing experience preferred.
- Aerospace market and composite materials experience preferred.
- Must possess good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to travel 50-75% of the time.
