About the role:
In this position, you will administer the outsourced commissions and cash application functions for one of Intermedia’s most strategic partners. This involves calculating compensation for the partner’s accounts, communication of sales commissions due, and preparing cash application reports for the partner to enter into their accounting system. This is a highly visible role that requires impeccable attention to detail and will be the primary contact for commissions and partner payments within the strategic partner ecosystem. The role reports to the Manager of Commissions and will interact with the channel sales team and leadership.
What you’ll be doing:
- Understand and enforce Partner plans including Commissions and SPIFFs
- Provide partner with data to record journal entries in their accounting systems
- Work with partner to facilitate accurate payment of commissions
- Respond promptly to partner commission and payment inquires
- Accurately apply partner cash receipts into the partner portal and provide reports to partner for upload into SAP
- Provide visibility and reporting on commissions cash receipts and monthly inquiries received
- Effectively communicate with various levels of both internal and partner management, responding to inquiries from the Channel Partners, sales force, and sales management
- Maintain the integrity and efficiency of the commission systems
- Assist in the preparation of reports and analysis as requested by management, especially during, monthly, quarterly and annual financial close
What you will bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related area strongly preferred
- Must be meticulous and have impeccable attention to detail
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of partner compensation experience within the technology industry
- Experience with SAP, Oracle BRM or Xactly preferred
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid work environment, remaining focused and delivering on critical, time-sensitive information
- Ability to prioritize needs on an ongoing basis
- Motivated self-starter who is able to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team
- Detailed oriented with high standard of accuracy and precision; highly organized
