Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shift Position Summary: As a Safety Coordinator, you will be interacting with other departments including the warehouse and shop. You will also work with third-party vendors to collect, update, and track OSHA safety related information.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shift Position Summary: As a Safety Coordinator, you will be interacting with other departments including the warehouse and shop. You will also work with third-party vendors to collect, update, and track OSHA safety related information.
Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Ensure Compliance with Federal and Various State(s) regulations
- Assist in conducting investigations related to accidents, near misses, complaints, and suggestions
- Assist with keeping OSHA logs up to date
- Administrators and works within the company policy, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Work with warehouse staff to ensure monthly walk throughs are completed and issues are resolved
- Assist in filling out workers compensation forms and reporting to insurance
- Assist in developing, improving, and maintaining current safety programs
- Follow up on workers compensation claims
- Conduct onsite inspections
- Educate employees on safety standards and expectations as well as safe machinery operation
- Provide recommendations for improving safety within the workplace
- Act as a liaison between management and external safety agencies, such as fire and insurance personnel
- Develop emergency response plans
- Contact emergency personnel as needed
- Ensure all forklift and scissor training is completed, up to date and that all cards be issued and maintained
- Assist with OSHA terminal meetings and agenda items
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED); required
- Associate Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or relatable field; a plus
- Experience working in a warehouse related safety operation, preferred
- Ability to tolerate high stress situation
- Proactive mindset and strong personal accountability
- Strong attention to details and record keeping
- Able to work professionally with diverse group of people internally and externally
- Ability to multitask and make quick decisions
- Computer and Essential Skills:
- AS400 experience; a plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; preferred
