- Requires a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline. Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering is preferred.
- Two or more years of experience in industrial maintenance/engineering required with two or more years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Prior experience in beverage, food, or other manufacturing environment with regulatory compliance requirements for Quality, GMP's and/or Food Safety.
- Continuous improvement, process improvement, or TPM experience is required.
- Requires administrative experience including budgeting, cost control, project management, and capital planning.
- Moderate computer skills management software.
- Must understand operation and repair of industrial equipment including pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems, PLC control and communication systems. Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and techniques.
- Understanding of production processes, technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Must have good communication skills; both oral and written.
- Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and group settings.
- Time management, delegation and organization skills with strong problem solving ability.

- Active member of the Umatilla Leadership Team.
- Supervise daily work activities of the Umatilla Maintenance Team. Plan, organize and execute weekly PM plan to meet operational needs.
- Develop and implement a TPM system for Umatilla. Manage CMMS food safety critical items.
- Define processes and lead improvement efforts to achieve KPI targets.
- Review effectiveness of daily/weekly maintenance activities to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure development and implementation of corrective actions to address root cause of failures.
- Understand and adhere to both internal and external regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with FNG Safety/OSHA regulations. Effectively communicate safety, quality, and technical training issues to team members.
- Organize technical training to develop front line employees to meet current and future business needs.
- Develop and manage budget for maintenance labor, parts and equipment for Maintenance Center staffing needs to meet business needs and control cost.
- Learn other work centers in Business Unit to provide supervisory assistance as needed. Hire, develop and evaluate performance of employees.
- Provide strong leadership with a positive attitude that promotes team work.
- Champion change initiatives by actively promoting and participating in team meetings, safety and process improvement suggestion programs.
- Establish priorities and goals for teams and provide feedback on a regular basis.
- Must become an active member of the ERT or MRT within 6 months.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Unit Manager.
